Application of the measuring device and its features:
RDM 403 is a measuring device, providing high-precision and quality measurements, used for both manual and automatic sorting. The device is made in two modifications, as a desktop measuring and sorting device, or as a device for automatic sorting of parts by means of automatic production lines for measuring and sorting parts according to a preset measuring and sorting algorithm. It was designed for simultaneous measurement of three dimensions of mechanical parts, evaluation of measurement and automatic sorting of measured parts.
The device evaluates and displays relative deviations from a pre-set value (dimensions of a part) and geometrical deviation of shape and position (round, plain, cylindrical). It allows to sort parts into subgroups (good ones, wastes, repairable ones). Good pieces can further be sorted into up to 17 subgroups, with their respective measurement precision values, according to preset parameters. The measured values are sensed by means of contact inductive sensors.
The device counts parts in real time, it statistically evaluates complete measurements along time as well as individual subgroups 1, 2 … n (number of measured pieces, mean value, average value, maximum / minimum value, number of good pieces, number of wastes, etc.).
During the positioning of the device into a measuring position, electronic shifting of the operating values of its sensors is used.
The device can be connected to a higher-level control unit - a PC, using special software for statistical processing of measured values with graphic display, or it can be connected to a computer network or a company server.
The operation of the device can be blocked by means of a numerical code.
RDM 403 measuring and sorting device can control the operation of an automatic sorting machine, consisting of a control and measurement point with measuring inductive sensors, an input cabinet, a sorting mechanism and output cabinets. By suitable application of measurement points and adaptation of sorting machines, the device can find its application at mechanical engineering control workplaces. It is manufactured in a standard as well as above-standard versions.

A 6-digit numerical (red LED) display shows measurement results and sorted groups ;
